Background

China's aviation emergency rescue industry has initially established a modern rescue system encompassing drones, helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft, achieving rapid development under strong national policy support. Currently, breakthrough progress has been made in drone rescue technology, with heavy-lift drone R&D projects advancing steadily and plateau-capable unmanned helicopters demonstrating operational readiness. Aviation rescue capabilities continue to strengthen, with over 100 firefighting helicopters deployed nationwide across 21 provinces and an aeromedical rescue network gradually taking shape. In terms of industrial chains, core equipment like domestically-produced turboshaft engines have achieved mass production, while the integration of low-altitude economy and emergency rescue is accelerating. Looking ahead, the industry will focus on breakthroughs in key technologies including airworthiness certification, intelligent swarm control, and extreme environment adaptability, driving development toward intelligent and systematic solutions to elevate China's aviation emergency rescue capabilities from 'following' to 'keeping pace with' global leaders.

China Air Emergency Rescue Anniversary 2026 will be held in June 2026 in Nanjing City Jiangsu Province.
