“Commercial Aero Engine Shanghai International Forum 2017”Successfully Held

“Commercial Aero Engine Shanghai International Forum 2017” (AEC 2017) attracted over 180 delegates from government, organizations, institutes, universities and industrial enterprises. AEC 2017 hosted nearly 20 domestic and international speakers who delivered keynote speeches.

In recent years, China has accelerated the pace of aero engine development, from the initial modified imitation to independent design and manufactures some aircraft engine. However, the development of commercial aircraft engine in China also faces many new difficulties and challenges such as application of composites, 3D printing technology, blisk manufacturing technology, single crystal technology, health monitoring technology, multidisciplinary design optimization, airworthiness certification and other issues still exist technological difficulty and so on.

Against this backdrop, “Commercial Aero Engine Shanghai International Forum 2017” held on December 5th in Jiaxing. It is hosted by Shanghai Society of Aeronautics; co-organized by AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd, China Aero-Space Tooling Association, Shaanxi Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics; supported by Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd, Jiaxing Municipal People's Government, China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd, Baosteel Special Steel Co., Ltd, Shanghai Pudong New District Technology and Ecnomic Committee; organized by Jiaxing Xiuzhou National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Galleon (Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd

On the conference, speakers showed cutting edge topics such as “Progress of China Aero Engine Projects”, “Future Prospect of GTF Engines”, “The Influence and Change of 3D Printing on Aero Engine Design and Manufacturing, Multidisciplinary Design Optimization of Aero Engine”, “Construction of Aero Engine Research and Test Platform” etc.

AEC 2017 also set up exhibition booths and one to one meetings to promote communication and cooperation among participants.
