TE: Make world-class products and services in the China Aerospace Industry

Connectivity (NYSE: TEL) is a technology leader in the world¡¯s fastest

In 1989 TE entered China market, opened its first facility in Shanghai. At present, TE has about 38,000 employees in China, established 16 productions bases; Tyco Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd is TE¡¯s Chinese registered company, which is responsible for the management of China transaction. TE provides services for Clients by 14 city sales offices. In 2012 the district sales of TE China reached $2.2 Billion, accounting for the company¡¯s total annual income 16.5%. Earlier, the reporter from WCARN interviewed Yazheng, ZHAO, Asia Sales Director of TE Aerospace at the CAIF 2013 (Civil Avionics International Forum 2013).
When talking about the prospects for the future China Aviation Industry, ZHAO said:¡± China aviation industry itself is one of the country¡¯s important strategic sector, especially in recent years, AVIC Group and COMAC are both committed to improving the quality of products to enhance their own competitiveness, but also make efforts to develop the overseas market, both these are very positive. We believe that, together with continuous improvement of technical level of domestic aviation industry, requirements for world class spare parts and each system will be increasingly growing in the future, providing a huge market opportunity for us to develop in China.
In fact, in 2006 TE has creates the China R&D Center. At present, the company has founded 4 R&D centers separately in Shanghai, Beijing, Dongwan and Shenzheng, established an engineering team with more than 1000 employees. The team is still expanding rapidly now. In short, TE is committed to building a prominent R&D team in China, let more TE products from the ¡°China manufacturing¡± to ¡°China made¡±, so as to better serve China aerospace industry.
