China Eastern Airlines Technology Secures First Maintenance License for C919 Engine Auxiliary Power Unit

On March 6, the certification ceremony for China Eastern Airlines Technology's HGT750[C] APU maintenance capability was held in Xi'an. This industry milestone event took place at the Airport New City of XiXian New Area in Shaanxi Province, where China Eastern Airlines Technology successfully obtained both the maintenance license from the Civil Aviation Administration of China's Northwest Regional Office and the exclusive global maintenance authorization from Honeywell. This makes the company the world's first enterprise with OEM-level maintenance qualifications for the C919 aircraft's HGT750[C] APU, filling a gap in China's high-end aviation power plant maintenance sector. With the official issuance of the first maintenance license by the Northwest Regional Administration and Honeywell's exclusive global maintenance authorization, China Eastern Airlines Technology has added substantial support for the large aircraft's maintenance capabilities in the field of aviation auxiliary power units, marking China's entry into the global leading ranks in the maintenance of core components for trunk airliners.

The HGT750[C] APU, which has obtained maintenance qualification, is an exclusive auxiliary power unit developed by Honeywell specifically for China's COMAC C919 trunk airliner. It adopts globally leading fuel economy design and lifecycle reliability standards, integrating multiple cutting-edge aviation power technologies. This APU serves as the 'core lifeline' for the自主 support and efficient operation of the C919 fleet. The maintenance capability for this type of APU directly impacts the control of operating costs for the large aircraft, the assurance of flight punctuality, and is even more crucial to the pace of advancing the industrialization, large-scale deployment, and international operation of the C919. It holds irreplaceable strategic significance for promoting the high-quality development of China's large aircraft industry.
