Background
In 2026, the global aviation industry is at a critical stage of structural restructuring. China will take delivery of nearly 10,000 jetliners over the next two decades, with global passenger traffic growing at an annual average of 3.75%, creating enormous incremental market space. As the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, new sectors such as green aviation and digital transformation are booming, driving the industry into a new stage of high-quality development.
At present, civil aviation equipment is entering a new era marked by higher reliability, longer service life, and stricter airworthiness certification requirements. Test, verification and evaluation technologies have become core pillars supporting the high-quality development of the aviation industry. Efforts will be further focused on improving the test and verification standard system, applying intelligent inspection technologies, and enhancing testing capabilities of high-end equipment. This will advance the transformation of aviation testing from traditional manual inspection to digitalization, intelligence and standardization, providing full-process technical support for the development of domestic civil aircraft, verification of aero-engines, and reliability evaluation of airborne systems, and helping align China’s aviation quality system with international airworthiness standards.
Against this backdrop, China Aviation Industry Congress 2026 is scheduled to be held under the theme of “Development of Quality Standards for Advanced Manufacturing and Enhancement of Test Verification Capabilities”, the congress aims to strengthen mutual recognition of quality standards and experimental validation capabilities, supporting China’s solid progress from a major aviation country to a strong aviation nation. It will focus on building the industrial chain around the innovation chain, using innovative technologies to drive incremental demand upgrading, and ensuring the high-quality development of the large aircraft program.
