Industry Background

Aircraft engine has evolved into extremely complex high-tech systems and is regarded as the brightest jewel in the crown of odern industries. In the next 20 years, China will boast 10,000 aircraft engines demand so that the total value is up to about $ 98 billion. At the very time of the engine industry restructuring, China has approved aero engine to be the Major Science and Technology Program, which means there will be $300 billion government investment in aero engine industry in the next two decades. A new generation of Civil Turboprop Engine will be developed by AVIC and Safran, which becomes the first Turboprop Engine project in China. Meanwhile, the Sino-Russia wide-body aircraft project is in the process of international bidding. Further, more helicopters will be needed for operations in plateau area in China which will need a new generation technology engine.
