China's Aviation Engine R&D Status and Technical Requirements

CJ-2000: On March 5, 2020, the C2XC-101 core engine of CJ-2000 turbofan engine, which is developed for the new generation of long-range wide body aircraft CR929, was successfully ignited. And it reached 100.6% speed in subsequent tests. In August, 2020, the R&D of CJ-2000 engine entered the complete assembly stage. Next, it will face major nodes such as completing the test and verification aircraft in 2022 and obtaining the airworthiness certificate in 2030.

CJ-1000A: Developed for C919 was successfully ignited as early as May 12th, 2018. The next step will be high-altitude platform and flight platform test. It is expected that it will be installed in 2025.


In order to accelerate the R&D process of China domestic aero-engine and provide an information exchange platform, the 5th Commercial Aero Engine Shanghai International Forum 2021 will be held in Shanghai from June 17th to 18th.
