Vice Mayor of Liyang Municipal People's Government with His Delegations Visit to Shanghai

On July 16, 2020, Wang Yaoqing, Vice Mayor of Liyang Municipal People's Government, paid a visit to COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and had an in-depth exchange of views with leaders of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics and COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. at the colloquium.

Shi Jianzhong, Chairman of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, Head of COMAC Expert Group and Former Deputy General Manager, held the colloquium. On behalf of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, he extended a warm welcome to the leaders of Liyang City.

Wang Yaoqing introduced the development of Liyang City in four industries, power battery, smart grid, automobile and parts. At the same time, he said that Liyang city is vigorously developing the aviation industry, and plans to build an aviation parts painting center (surface treatment), which will effectively drive the accelerated development of the aviation parts industry in Liyang City.

At the colloquium, Xu Qinghong, Vice President of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, Vice Director and Office Director of COMAC, gave a detailed introduction of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics 's work in industry activities, forums and exhibitions, and industry introduction.

Finally, Wang Changfa, Minister of Science and Technology Department of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., introduced the time nodes, key core technologies, process materials, equipment requirements and future development plans of various civil aircraft projects, so as to help domestic large aircraft take off and strive to realize the dream of becoming a powerful manufacturer.

This colloquium makes the three parties have a deeper understanding of each other. After the colloquium, guests visited the numerical control workshop, ARJ21 component plant and ARJ21 final assembly plant of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and took photos before the Y-10.

On July 17, Wang Yaoqing with his delegations visited CEA Honeywell Aircraft Wheels and Brakes Repair and Overhaul Co., Ltd. Wang Chao, General Manager of CEA Honeywell Aircraft Wheels and Brakes Repair and Overhaul Co., Ltd. extended a warm welcome to the visiting leaders of Liyang City and Shanghai Society of Aeronautics. Then, Wang Chao introduced the general situation of the company and the maintenance process of the navigation driver wheel. Under the guidance of Wang Chao, we visited the workshop of the factory and learned about the process of the final assembly of the wheel, the decomposition of the wheel, the cleaning of the wheel hub and the decomposition/cleaning of small parts.

The 10th China Aviation Industry International Summit - Shanghai, Tianmu Lake will be held on October 28 to 29 in Liyang, Jiangsu province, which hosted by Shanghai Society of Aeronautics and COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd , supported by Liyang Municipal People’s Government. The forum will focus on the application of 5G technology, Internet of Things technology and artificial intelligence in the aviation industry.

It is expected that the forum will bring together more than 250 leaders and experts from domestic and foreign government bureaus, relevant organizations at home and abroad, aircraft host design and manufacturing units, airborne systems research institutes, enterprises and relevant universities to create an authoritative and timely platform for exchanges and cooperation for industry colleagues.
