IN RUSSIAN-CHINESE AIRCRAFT IT IS DECIDED TO ABANDON THE ENGINES FROM THE WEST

The Russian-Chinese wide-body long-haul aircraft CR929 will be equipped with PD35 engines. The creators of the aircraft are afraid that at the finish of the program the Western "partners" can refuse to supply their engines, fearing competition.

The civil engine of great traction is now being developed by designers and engineers of the United Engine-Building Corporation. The end of works on its creation is planned for the end of 2020. This was announced by the Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy of Rostecha Viktor Kladov during the Dubai Air Show 2017.

Recall that the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China are creating a gas turbine engine for ShFDMS. China offered to use the engine of Rolls-Royce in new aircrafts, but accepted Russia's arguments that such an approach could at the last moment disrupt plans because of the West's refusal to cooperate.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, substantiated this position by the fact that an alternative is being developed for the airplanes that have divided the world market - Airbus and Boeing. The creators of the latter will not be pleased with the actions of the PRC and Russia and may want to interfere. Therefore, a completely unique product is created - the engine for the new aircraft. To date, there is no analogue to the development of either Russia or China.
