COMAC ARJ21 performs design optimization flight test

China¡¯s aircraft manufacturer COMAC announced that ARJ21-700 AC104 performed a design optimization flight test the 21st of February 2017 in Xining, China.


ARJ21 aircraft carried out design optimization flight test of take-off/go-around flight director in Xining to fully demonstrate the performance of ARJ21 take-off/go-around flight director after design optimization.


Previously, COMAC reported that ARJ21-700 aircraft has completed first global C check at Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering (STAECO) on the 8th of February 2017, marking the official end of the first C check of the first ARJ21-700 delivered to Chengdu Airlines.


COMAC explained that this C check of ARJ21-700 aircraft was the first enroute C check which followed the standards of CCAR-145 of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). This C check included not only routine C check maintenance items but also Service Bulletin (SB) retrofit work, which aims to continuously optimize and improve the aircraft and enhance the security, maintainability, economical efficiency and comfortability of the China-made new regional aircraft.


COMCA will set up a new assembly line for ARJ21 to increase the intelligent capability in Pudong, Shanghai. Jianhua WANG, the principal of this program, will attend Civil Aircraft Industry International Forum 2017 to make a presentation about "Improvement of Intelligent Assembly: Upgrading of ARJ21 Assembly Line¡±. CAIIF2017 is hosted by Chinese Society of Aeronautic and Astronautic and co-organized by COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design & Research Institute and COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
