UAC will establish with the Chinese Comac joint venture to create wide-bodied aircraft

The Board of Directors of “United aircraft Corporation” (UAC) has approved the establishment of a joint venture with “the Chinese Corporation of commercial planes” (Comac) to create wide-bodied aircraft. About it reported in a press release of the KLA.

The joint venture will engage in the development of the program of creation of wide-body long-haul aircraft in the framework of the signed in June 2016, the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in this area.

In particular, the joint venture will provide program management of the project, to engage in the development, production, sales and after-sales service generated a wide-body aircraft.

Earlier, Russian UAC and “Chinese United engine Corporation” discussed the joint creation of such a plane. In particular, the Russian and Chinese sides signed the Memorandum in 2014 to develop aircraft of the Russian Federation and China plan to 2025-2027.

The UAC President Yuri Slyusar said that the establishment of the aircraft is estimated at $12-20 billion.
