Duringthemission,threemodelsoftheWingLoonglargecivilUAVfamilyandtheMA-60weather-modificationaircraftplayedacrucialroleintasksrangingfromaerialdisastermonitoringtotelecommunicationsrestorationandartificialrainfallenhancement,theAVICsaid. TheforestfireinYajiangcountypresenteduniquedifficultiesduetoitsmountainousterrainwithsteepslopesandhighelevationsaveraging2,600meters.Itwasextremelyhardforrescuerstomonitorthefireandreachtheaffectedareas,especiallyatnightandamidstdensesmoke.
