Florence REUZEAU is an aeronautical engineer and doctor in Cognitive psychology. She worked as a safety specialist on aircraft complex systems (autopilot, navigation systems, and avionics ventilation) during 5 years before setting up the Human Factors organisation in Airbus Engineering, for the commercial and military aircraft.

She defined and deployed the Airbus Human Factors design and certification processes. She integrated the Human Sciences into the engineering technical skills for an optimised human centred design. She worked on A380, A400M, A350 and ATR cockpit definition and demonstration of certification.

She was Design Certification Specialists and contributed to the definition of CS 25 1302, the dedicated Human Factors regulation.

Since 2014, she has been nominated Human Factors executive Experts working for the group Airbus and consequently considering in her perimeter the Human Factors impacting any kind of human operators acting for the Airbus Group. In this position, she is in charge of defining the Airbus Group Human Factors strategy for research and program development. She is also ensuring the development of Human Factors competences with the group.

She is involved in international standardisation group mainly on the definition of Human Factors regulations.

She is also European expert for European research project evaluation.

She is very active in the organisation of national and international HF conferences.

Joined EUROCAE in July 2014 as Secretary General, since then he is responsible for the operational management and development of the Association.

As former President of the Air Navigation Commission (ANC) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) he was responsible for developing Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) in the field of Air Navigation and Safety.

Prior to his posting at ICAO, Mr. Schleifer was in charge of Aircraft and Equipment Certification, Airworthiness and Operational Requirements at the Austrian Civil Aviation Authority.

In this role, Christian Schleifer was a specialized Certification and Flight Test Engineer for Avionics, Electrics and Human-Machine interface. After his return from ICAO, he was involved in the strategic development of the ANS side of Austro Control, contributing to the European and Global Air Navigation modernization programs.

Christian has a background in Electronic Engineering and Economics and is also holding an Avionic Maintenance License (AML) as well as a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and actively flies single and multi-engine aircrafts.

Mr. Vance Hilderman is a 30-year aviation and avionics expert. Holding a BSEE and MBA from Gonzaga, and a Masters in Computer Engineering from USC (Hughes Fellow), Mr. Hilderman has focused on safety-critical aviation, avionics software, systems, hardware development and related technical certification solutions for his entire career. In 1990, Mr. Hilderman founded TekSci which successfully became the largest independent aviation/safety-critical software services company in the world. Mr. Hilderman has founded multiple other technical companies including AFuizion Inc. which provides technical aviation development services to 80 of the world’s 100 largest aviation and avionics development companies.

Mr. Hilderman developed the world’s first DO-178, DO-200, DO-278, and DO-254 training which 70% of the world’s aviation companies have procured and has personally trained over 19,000 engineers in 35 countries. Mr. Hilderman developed the world’s first Gap Analysis for DO-178A and then DO-254 and has performed 110+ Gap Analysis on DO-XXX to fifty-plus companies’ onsite in thirty countries.

Mr. Hilderman and AFuzion are the selected supplier of avionics services to multiple entities throughout the world including SAE, DASC, Aviation Electronics, plus 15 government agencies throughout the world. Mr. Hilderman is also the principle author of the world’s best-selling book on avionics certification plus 30+ technical whitepapers on aviation development.

Today, Mr. Hilderman makes his home in Los Angeles and Manhattan, manages AFuzion’s engineers, and continually participates in software/computer forums providing a wide variety of avionics certification related services. AFuzion’s 25+ senior engineers perform avionics certification, mentoring, auditing, training, and best-practices consulting in DO-178C, ARP4754A, ARP4761/A, DO-254, DO-278A, DO-200 and many other protocols.
